Sixteen local veterans were presented with Quilts of Valor at a program held at the Dodge Center American Legion on Veterans Day. The quilts were from the Quilt of Valor national organization.

Kasson-Mantorville teachers filled the seats in the Forum room at the high school Monday night wearing matching red “We Are Worth It” shirts. A seven-hour mediation session earlier in the day did not resolve differences between the teachers and the board on a new two-year contract.
 
 

K-M/Triton gymnasts roll-up program high score
Kasson-Mantorville/Triton’s gymnastics team battled a formidable Caledonia squad, on Friday, December 15. It was the K-M/Triton Varsity kids who emerged victorious, edging Caledonia, and posting a team program high score of 131.125 to 127.4.

Commercial Club Plans Christmas Party

An Austin man suffered non-life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash Thursday, December 16, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Patrol reports said that a 2009 Dodge Caliber was westbound on Highway 14 when it left the road and rolled about 4:30 p.m. Somneuk Boonreuang, 44, Austin, the driver of the vehicle, was taken to the Owatonna Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Local residents will get a final chance to comment on NextEra Energy’s Dodge County Wind project at two in-person meetings and one remote meeting next week.
