Local vets receive ‘Quilts of Honor’

Sixteen local veterans were presented with Quilts of Valor at a program held at the Dodge Center American Legion on Veterans Day. The quilts were from the Quilt of Valor national organization.
Veterans honored included George Gilman, Raymond Tyler, David Hanson, Roger Deyo, Glenn Engelken, Raymond Malsom, Larry Miller, Leonard Marquardt, Philip Baudion, James Baudion, Gerald Fahning, Marty Franko, Paul Maroo, Harold Johnson, Delano Paulson, and Dennis Vang. The program included “Sister Luv” entertainers from Spring Valley.
The event was made possible by donations from Dodge Center American Legion Post #384, Con-Tech Mfg., McNeilus Steel, HammerQ BBQ, Sunshine Foods, National Fleet Graphics, National Quilts of Honor of Southeast Minnesota. Thank you to all the veterans, families and friends attending.
