A Dodge Center woman is accused of insurance fraud stemming from what authorities are calling a fake incident last winter in a downtown Rochester parking ramp.
Alison Helen Lutterman, 39, faces a felony charge that carries a sentence of 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine or both, according to the complaint filed recently in District Court in Rochester.

It was 9 p.m. on Christmas night and the house was quiet. The noise of ripping open presents had long since passed and even the dishes were done from the traditional meal that was a big part of the day. The anticipation of Christmas was over as my wife and I both enjoyed the quiet of being home with just the lights of the Christmas tree to reflect on the day.

Members of the Kasson teacher’s union and the school board remained at odds Monday night after an all-day mediation session although both sides remain hopeful an agreement can be reached.
Teachers in the district have been working without a contract since the expiration of the previous one on July 1, 2023. Teachers are currently working according to their contracted hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Roger Langworthy has been named the Volunteer of the Year by the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association. He was presented with the award during the group’s state conference earlier this month in Alexandria.
