Dozens of businesses and hundreds of students turned out for the Dodge County Internship Fair at Kasson-Mantorville High School on Friday, Jan. 5.
Connecting students with employers was the whole goal of the Internship Fair. Students from KM, Hayfield High School and Triton High School were invited to participate.

West Concord has temporarily suspended some daytime ambulance services because of a lack of volunteers.
At a special council meeting last Friday night, city officials told community members they would proceed with a temporary suspension of ambulance service from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Former Hayfield High School Principal Grant Thomas Klenneret, 38, pleaded guilty last week in Wabasha County District Court to two charges of first-degree criminal sexual assault and one second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. In a plea deal, one charge of first-degree criminal sexual assault and one second-degree charge of criminal sexual conduct were dismissed.

In an on-going debate about legal newspapers in Dodge County, the city attorney for Dodge Center has advised the city that the Dodge Center Messenger is not a legal newspaper.
