The annual meeting of the Dodge County Republican Women’s Club was held Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Hayfield. Mrs. Bert Fuller of Hayfield will continue as president of the club; Mrs. Tom Avery of West Concord was named vice president and Mrs. Lois Olive of Kasson, secretary. Mrs. Dana Campbell of West Concord is treasurer.

Triton’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter was a dominant force at their Regional Competition in January. After competing against over 300 students from ten area schools, 35 Triton BPA members have qualified for the State Leadership Conference in Minneapolis this March.

Eric Betcher grew up on a dairy farm in the Zumbrota area with three brothers. He attended Zumbrota Mazeppa schools and was busy with football and farming. He always enjoyed going along with his dad when they would go to his relative’s implement shop in Mazeppa. Eric said his parents would take them along when they went on a fishing trip to the Grand Rapids area for a week each year.

It seems we’ve been to a lot of funerals lately. There was a time in our lives when we had constant invitations to weddings, but the span of years have changed the dynamics of what we feel we are required to attend.
