KoMets place third at Christmas Tournament

During their victory over Lake City on Tuesday night, Kasson-Mantorville junior wrestler Brady Berge didn’t wrestle. As he went to the middle of the mat to accept his win via forfeit, it had the feel of a caged mythical beast.

Cobras keep searching for first victory

The Triton girls basketball team dropped their sixth straight game to open the season last week as they fell to Hayfield on Dec. 15 and Tri-City United last Friday. While the early results are discouraging, they’re doing their best to try to keep things positive.

KoMets keep rolling with fifth straight win

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team is continuing to play great basketball as it has rolled off five straight wins after victories over Rochester Lourdes and New Prague last week. 
The KoMets, who are currently ranked sixth in Class AAA, leaned on dominant play inside and some hot shooting to keep their strong play alive.

Nine KoMets win titles at K-M Invitational

A week ago, the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team showed plenty of potential when they took second at the Winona Invite. With six individual champions, the KoMets had plenty to build on as they moved on to face Triton in a HVL dual and hosting the K-M invite on Saturday afternoon.

K-M/Triton continues to show improvement

The Kasson-Mantorville gymnastics team is young this year, but its youth hasn’t prevented them from making it a learning experience. Several gymnasts improved over their first meet against Caledonia/Spring Grove and while the KoMets couldn’t defeat Byron on Tuesday, there was plenty to be excited about.

K-M/Triton gymnastics solid in opener

The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton gymnastics team opened up its season on Dec. 1 by falling to Caledonia/Spring Grove 116.5-111.85. 
Despite the loss, K-M/T head coach Laura Strandell was encouraged by the team’s initial effort.
“It was a good start for the team,” Strandell said. “I was proud of the little things that we did as a group.”

K-M/Triton powerlifting opens their season

The Kasson-Mantorville/Triton powerlifting team opened their season on Saturday at Adams-Friendship High School in Wisconsin. The meet was a Wisconsin state meet and featured 120 lifters competing from nine different schools.
