K-M cheerleading wins second straight state title

The Kasson-Mantorville cheerleading team won its second straight competitive cheerleading championship as they placed first in a state competition on Jan. 30.
The state field included six teams in the preliminary round and K-M executed a flawless routine to enter the finals. After making a tweak to their routine, the girls had a strong performance to earn a spot in the grand championship round.

Berge sets K-M record for career wins

Kasson-Mantorville wrestler Brady Berge has enjoyed a successful career that has shown no sign of slowing down. His sky-high trajectory continued on Jan. 28 as his victory over Owatonna’s Journey Peterson was his 222nd of his career, breaking the old record held by Garrett Garness.

Powerlifters prepare for regional meet

The Kasson-Mantorville powerlifting team competed at regional meet at Holmen High School on Saturday as part of a Wisconsin state and regional meet. The meet featured 260 lifters competing from 16 different schools as it was the final stop before the USAPL qualifying meet next weekend at LaCrosse Central (Wis.) High School.

The Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team is beginning to hit its stride toward the end of the regular season schedule and its team success hasn’t waned despite being tested repeatedly throughout the season. 

Wildcats hold ‘Stick it to Cancer’ event

The Dodge County Wildcats held their fourth annual “Stick it to Cancer” event on Saturday afternoon in an effort to raise funds for the Eagles Cancer Telethon. This year’s event generated $2,500 worth of donations and was presented to the telethon on Saturday night.

Over the past couple of weeks the Kasson-Mantorville/Triton gymnastics team has made strides that haven’t been seen in its three-year history of the program. 

K-M/Triton earns first conference win in program history

As a program that’s just entered its third season, the Kasson-Mantorville/Triton gymnastics team has set an emphasis of improvement. Over the first couple weeks of this year, K-M/Triton has taken steps in the right direction, but hadn’t broken through to pick up its first conference win in program history. 
That wait ended last Thursday when K-M/Triton defeated Stewartville by a score of 116.775 to 115.675.
