John W. Fyer, 79, passed away Nov. 11 in Aldeia, Brasil.

James Palmer Ranvek, 90, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, Minnesota.

An early morning crash Tuesday has taken the life of a 66-year-old man in Dodge County.
Severt R. Fiksen of Dodge Center was killed in the crash on Highway 56 north of Hayfield. He was driving a Ford Focus that smashed head-on into a Chevy Silverado.

Friday, Nov. 11

Morning- 20 agencies from 3 neighboring counties assist with disaster. Rochester Chemical Assessment Team also responds.
12 p.m.- Evacuation lifted as officials deem situation to be safe

Mantorville has an amazing group of volunteers that serve on the Park Board. The town is justly proud of its parks; it has as many as other towns that are far larger in population. 
October 15, a group of these intrepid volunteers installed playground equipment at Mantor Field.

Next weekend, Kasson-Mantorville students will perform the first show in the high school’s recently completed performing arts center, “The Sound of Music.” The show’s director promises the community that the students’ hard work since the beginning of the year will pay off. 

For the duration of the season, K-M volleyball coach Adam VanOort has tried to tell his team that there are highs and lows throughout the course of the year and even those highs and lows can take place during the course of a single match. In addition, he believed that the team that plays closest to a consistent level could do great things and make a run when the playoffs hit the calendar.
