PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Mantorville City Council will hold a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, December 14, 2015, starting at 6:30 pm, or shortly thereafter, to consider an application for a variance from the height requirement for an oversized accessory structure.

I played basketball for Cloverdale Christian School, a small Mennonite school with about 30 students. 
My siblings and I are not Mennonite, but the school district we were in would have required an hour and half bus ride both ways to school every morning, and that just wasn’t cool.

Late surge not enough as Blooming Prairie boys lose home-opener

Another hard-fought game effort fell just a bit short for the Blooming Prairie boys basketball team. St. Clair held on for a 72-63 win in the home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 24.  
The loss dropped the Blossoms to 1-2 over the first three games.

More than two dozen people were evacuated from buildings in the 200 block of Front Street in Claremont Friday afternoon after a worker struck a gas main while working in the alley.

BREAKING NEWS: Thanksgiving Day car-crash victim identified

The driver killed in an Olmsted County head-on crash on Thanksgiving morning, has been identified as a Byron resident, 24-year-old Casey Beach.
 
According to the state patrol, witnesses reported that a Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Hwy 52 north of Chatfield, when it crossed the centerline several times before colliding with a southbound GMC Acadia.
