Wasioja Township Snow Removal Policy

PURPOSE: To give the citizens of Wasioja Township a realistic expectation of the snow and ice removal services that will be provided during the winter season.       
GOAL: The general goal of the Township  is to keep the township roads passable during the most heavily traveled periods of the week. Service is prioritized by the most logical routing pattern.           

CITY OF KASSON SNOW SEASON ORDINANCES

SNOW EMERGENCIES: No vehicle or trailer shall be parked on any street or alley during a declared snow emergency. A snow emergency is defined as any time the quantity of snow warrants the deployment of snowplows. During snow emergencies, no parking shall be allowed on the road or alley until the snow and ice plowing has been completed the full width of the roadway.

Linda J. Newman, 72, Rochester

Linda J. Newman (Hilliard – Paulson) died peacefully at Madonna Towers in Rochester, on Nov. 17, 2015 at the age of 72.

Clara J. Henry, 93, Pine Island

Clara J. Henry, age 93, of Pine Island, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at her home surrounded by family. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at United Methodist Church in Pine Island with Pastor Carolyn Westlake officiating.  Following the service the burial will be in the Pine Island Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.

James Wyttenbach, 81, San Antonio, Mantorville

James Wyttenbach, age 81, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015.  
He was born in Mantorville on Jan. 3, 1934 to Walter and Alvera Wyttenbach, the youngest of six children.  After high school, he served his country by joining the United States Air Force.  He had a distinguished 22-year career and retired in the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.  

Earl George Stellmaker, 93, Kasson

Earl George Stellmaker, 93, of rural Kasson, passed away peacefully at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015.

Raymond Pelinka, 94, Owatonna

Raymond A. Pelinka, 94, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
He was born May 14, 1921, in Aurora Township, Steele County, the son of Joseph and Ida (Pfeifer) Pelinka. He attended country school in Aurora Township. Ray enlisted into the Army on April 29, 1946, and was stationed in Manilla until his honorable discharge on Sept. 9, 1947. 

Viola Pittman, 89, Owatonna

Viola Anna Oeltjenbruns Pittman born June 6, 1927, in Somerset Township passed on Nov. 9, 2015, at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
Viola was the daughter of Fred and Emma Oeltjenbruns. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna on July 10, 1921, and her sponsors were Anna Robeolteman and Johnanna Oeltjenbruns. Viola was confirmed June 7, 1942.
