Domino’s Pizza is back at full tilt

The Kasson Domino’s Pizza restaurant is back to full capacity and then some following a renovation that has been ongoing for the last few months.
According to Domino’s franchise owner, Marty (Paul) Gritz, the updated building is drastically more efficient and adheres to all current Domino’s franchise guidelines.

Kasson council decides to install bus stop signs on Main Street

One of the busiest places in Kasson early on weekday mornings is the Just Like Home School Age Children Care building at 304 W. Main St. - the old Folkestad building.
The facility is licensed to care for 120 children before and after school and on snow days, holidays and during the summer.
All the students range in age from kindergarten through sixth grade.

Mary Alice Mittelstadt Unger, 76, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at Cottagewood Sr. Living in Rochester, Minn.  

James Lyndon Stehley, 69, Wisconsin

James Lyndon Stehley, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017. He was a beloved father, brother, husband and friend.
He was born to a Minnesota railroad family Aug. 20, 1947 and spent his youth exploring woods, fishing and nurturing his love for the natural world, which he passed along to all those who surrounded him. He became a pharmacist and worked for 20 years at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. 

Carol J. Gosse, age 78, Wabasha

Carol J. Gosse, age 78, of Wabasha, Minn., died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn. She was born Jan. 10, 1939 in Winona, Minn., the daughter of Curtis and Agnes (Carlson) Goltz. She was a 1956 graduate of Wabasha High School. Carol married Richard Gosse Oct., 26, 1963 at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha.

Long time Blooming Priaire native, Jason Iacovino, is a 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota and has come home to become the majority shareholder with the firm. 

News Update: State Patrol releases name in fatality

 
The State Patrol has identified the victim of Saturday’s fatal car crash west of Kasson as Stephanie Dawn Sholtz, 42, of Rochester. 
She was alone in the vehicle when it rolled over on U.S. Highway 14 near County Road 9. The patrol reports Sholtz was wearing her seat belt and no alcohol was involved. The roads were icy at the time of the crash, according to the patrol.
