Triton’s School Board took no action Monday night on an opinion from a school district-hired attorney on the status of the Dodge Center Messenger’s status as a legal newspaper.
The question of whether the Messenger qualifies as a legal newspaper goes back to last July when the Triton School Board named it as the district’s official newspaper to publish district legal notices.

Now in its 24th year, the March 23 Dodge County Expo will feature more than 100 local vendors, a kids’ scavenger hunt, Rookie the Clown and live music. And it’s all free.
Organizers are anticipating a crowd of 2,000 attendees. The expo is put on by all of the local chambers of commerce, including Kasson, Mantorville, Hayfield, West Concord, Claremont and Dodge Center, said Kasson representative and co-organizer Jennifer Galloway.

Thirty-four students from Triton’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter participated in the annual State Leadership Conference held March14-16, 2024 in Minneapolis, where over 1,400 students competed.
Triton crowned two state champions, seven National trip winners, 22 Top 10 finishers, and was recognized as a Gold Chapter for Membership Excellence.

It was a room full to overflowing in Claremont as area residents interested in the past gathered to talk about local history.
The Claremont Service Center was filled with voices with stories to tell about what happened in the past. Dodge County Historical Society volunteers organized the event to be able to gather some of the stories that are remembered from times gone by.

Mantorville Author Terry Eckstein will be signing his new book, “HR Behind Closed Doors,” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Dodge County Expo on Saturday, March 23.
The book, Eckstein said, was inspired by events that he encountered during his career in human resources.
