WINONA — The Triton boys and girls track/field teams competed in the Early Red Bird Invitational 2024, on Tuesday, March 26, at St. Mary’s University, Winona Minnesota.

Easter Egg Hunts coming this Saturday

The Easter Bunny will be in Dodge County this weekend as Mantorville, Hayfield and West Concord all hold their annual Easter Egg Hunts.
Activities in Mantorville get under way at 9 a.m. at Riverside Park with the Easter Bunny planning on being at the park from 9 to9:30 a.m.
The annual egg hunt will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a donation for the Dodge County Food Shelf.

Byron Community Foundation Fundraiser April 5, 2024

It’s almost time for the Byron Community Foundation’s Craft Beer and Wine Tasting fundraiser. This year’s Foundation Festival event, celebrating the 11th anniversary of the foundation is from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at Somerby Golf Club in Byron with our “Grand Prize Drawing” for a 2023 Club Golf Car at 9 p.m.

CFS provides grain bin safety training

Central Farm Service is aiming to enhance safety related to grain bins by recently providing incident command training for area fire departments.
The local farm cooperative hosted an incident command for grain bin incidents class at its Clarks Grove facility on March 16. Firefighters from 18 different departments took part in the training.

Choir Concert

The choirs of Kasson-Mantorville High School held their winter concert March 14 with the Concert Choir performing Lunar Lullaby. The Ninth Grade Choir, Chamber Choir Singers and 10th Grade Choir also performed. Andrew Faller was the director and Nancy Johnson the pianist.
 
 

Winter Band Concert

Kasson-Mantorville’s Jazz Band performed “Area 51 Song” at the recent winter band concert on March 7. The Ninth Grade Band, Tenth Grade Band and the Concert Band also played several selections. All the bands were under the direction of Anthony Boldt.
