Father-Daughter Banquet Held At Methodist Church
Seventy fathers and daughters attended the Father-Daughter banquet at the United Methodist Church on March 21st.

On April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, completely blocking the face of the sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.

An attorney for Triton Schools has determined the district is not publishing legal notices correctly and that the Dodge Center Messenger does not meet the requirements of a qualified newspaper to publish such notices.

This week’s North American Farm Show in Owatonna is a complete sell-out with vendors on the waiting list.
There are 156 exhibitors on display at the Four Seasons Centre, which has been the home of the popular farm show for 22 years, according to Dan Slowinski, who is in his first year of managing the show. Of those exhibitors, 30 of them have been at the show for the entire time, he said.

Kasson and Byron Knights of Columbus are the latest group to make a donation to the Dodge County Food Shelf during March’s Food Share Month. The group presented a check for $1,500 to the Food Shelf on Monday.
The local group is made up of men who are members of Holy Family in Kasson and Christ the King in Byron.

The Kasson-Mantorville school board has named Theodore Ihns as the district’s next superintendent. Board members voted to offer the position to Ihns at a special board meeting last week contingent on a contract being reached. The contract was signed at a special board meeting on Tuesday night.
