Minnesota’s Public Utilities Commission gave its approval to the Dodge County Wind Project last Thursday. The Commission granted the request for a Certificate of Need, Site Permit and Route Permit.
Dodge County Wind, LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, plans to construct a 252-megawatt wind farm with the electricity generated sold to Great River Energy which supplies power to the 27 member-owned cooperatives.

Heidi (Ludvigsen) Woller grew up in Kasson with her sister, Heather and they are Kasson-Mantorville grads. She recalls going to the skating rink after school quite often, where the library is now located, and playing kickball on the playground at the old Kasson school.

CPR Program For Nurses To Be Held May 10
The Minnesota Heart Association and the Association of Critical Care Nurses (Rochester) will sponsor a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Program (CPR) for nursing personnel of the Field Crest Nursing Home, Hayfield, on Friday, May 10, 2 p.m. at Hayfield, it was announced today by Gayle Donovan, R.N.

An employee at Con-Tech Manufacturing in Dodge Center was fatally injured in an accident at the plant Monday morning.
Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said dispatchers received a call from Con-Tech just after 10 a.m. reporting an employee had been crushed in an accident.
When deputies arrived at the scene at 10:10 a.m. they found Con-Tech staff doing CPR on the victim, 63-year-old Teofilo Gonzalez.
