Kasson OK’d For Low-Cost Flood Insurance
The City of Kasson becomes eligible May 20 for low-cost, federally subsidized flood insurance, according to Rep. Albert H. Quie.
The city’s application was approved by James T. Lynn, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Following the merger between Hometown Haulers and Waste Management, the Byron City Council issued its third license for trash hauling during its May 14 meeting.
“With official notification that Hometown Haulers will no longer serve Byron in the capacity
which their license was issued, there is a 3rd license available for residential refuse hauling,” City Administrator Al Roder wrote in a memo to the City Council.
