As a longtime member of the Kasson Mantorville community I would like to acknowledge the success and status of our school district.  With the upcoming election, I urge all to understand the school board vacancies.

Schools have faced unprecedented decisions over the last several years. According to the MN North Star accountability system, in 2022 just 42% of students tested were proficient in math and 49% in reading. 

Focus on academics, budget

Dear residents of Kasson and Mantorville,As a senior citizen in the school district, I want to express my desire for acontinued focus on academics at K-M, while still managing the budget with thecommunity in mind. I am on a fixed income and with the inflation we areseeing as a country, things continue to get tighter for all of ourpocketbooks.

As election day draws near most of us have been focused on many of the higher ticket races but one race in particular stands out to me. That is the K-M School board race. Having three children who are the fourth generation of our family to attend K-M we know the value of an education from our great schools.
