Focus on academics, budget

Letter to the Editor:
Dear residents of Kasson and Mantorville,As a senior citizen in the school district, I want to express my desire for acontinued focus on academics at K-M, while still managing the budget with thecommunity in mind. I am on a fixed income and with the inflation we areseeing as a country, things continue to get tighter for all of ourpocketbooks.
Be careful of the single issue candidates (this year looks like teachers’ spouses) and do your research on who will represent you the bestfor the next two or four years. Not everyone is in it for the right reasons.If you have questions about candidates, call the candidate and not yourneighbor. I support Patrick Madery and incumbent school board members, AngieRichards and Mark Torkelson, to continue to keep academic expectations highfor our kids and be fiscally responsible to those of us who are retired.
