My letter is in response to Karl Huppler's October 13 letter who had the usual attacks against the Republican party. 

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the United States. It is a month when pink seems to be everywhere. Pink ribbons, pink hats, pink posters. You name it, it may be pink this month.
That’s because pink has come to signify being aware of breast cancer and offer support to those who are fighting it. The National Breast Cancer Awareness Association and the Susan G. Komen organization have spent years getting the message out.

Before everyone carried a phone/camera/recorder/minicomputer with them at all times, people used to write things down. If you wanted to do it in a hurry, you learned shorthand. But even if you never learned that now outdated skill, it has become necessary for all of us to learn another sort of shorthand.

My name is Patrick Madery and I am running for the Kasson-Mantorville School Board. I am a proud Kasson-Mantorville graduate of the class of 2004. Since then, I have lived in various places throughout the state of Minnesota, returning in 2018 to raise my family in this great community. 

No matter what job you held during your career, there were times you may have felt your job was a lot harder than most people knew. People just didn’t understand all the ins and outs of what you were expected to do. But as difficult we sometimes seem to think our jobs were, there are probably some that we would not trade for.
