Special Board Organizational Meeting Minutes
JANUARY 4, 2016
School Board Chair Jill Minette-Stacey called the Special School Board Organizational/Work Session Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Board members Brea Koebele, Rob Hamlin, Kent Harfmann, Brandon Madery, Jill Minette-Stacey, Angie Richards, and Missy Swarts were present.  Superintendent Matuska was also present. 

Notice is hereby given that the Mantorville City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 28, 2016 starting at 6:35 pm, in regards to amending Section 31.38 (F) and Section 150.111 of the Mantorville Zoning Code.  The purpose of the amendment is to bring the City Code section, as it relates to Variances, in line with State Statute.  A copy of the amended ordinance in its entirety can be seen at City Hall.  All interested persons sho

Proposals will be received by the Board of Vernon Township, Hayfield, MN for the following materials: 
3000 yards, more or less of ¾ inch road rock, delivered anywhere in the township.
3000 yards, more or less of ¾ inch road rock, loaded in our truck, stating price per yard. 
Materials to be delivered on or before September 1, 2016 

The Board of Appeal and Equalization of the Township of Vernon will meet: 
Date/Time: Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. 
Location: Town Hall 
The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor. 

There was a lot riding on the Owatonna High School’s adapted floor hockey team during their last playoff game against the Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville Rams on Thursday, March 3. Their win earned them the south’s first seed at the state tournament.
The Huskies pulled through with a 13-4 win against the Rams, but the game was a nail-biter at the start. 

Virginia Lois Johnson, age 91, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie.

Paul J. Ingvaldson, age 79, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Friday March 4, 2016, at Prairie Manor Care Center.

It was a successful weekend for the Owatonna wrestling team at the state tournament over the weekend as Peyton Robb earned his second state individual championship and Brandon Moen won his first for the Huskies.
