Curtis Sandeno, 75, Kasson
Curtis Sandeno passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at home with his wife by his side.
Curtis was born April 24, 1940 in Kenyon. He grew up in rural Kasson and married Patricia Blood on Oct. 14, 1961 in Mantorville. They were married 54 years and had two children, Jeff and Penny.
Curtis attended vo-tech and worked at Gordy’s Body Shop, IBM, farmed, drove bus for the Kasson-Mantorville School District as well as serving as the transportation supervisor until he retired in 2014 at the age of 73.
He enjoyed listening to country music, watching Westerns, fishing, sitting by his pond and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie, brother Norman and son Jeff. Survivors include his wife Patricia, daughter Penny, son-in-law Jake, three grandchildren Rachel, Jake and Donelle, one great grandchild Jaren and his brothers David, Robert, Bruce and Teddy Sandeno.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. His body has been donated to Mayo Clinic.
