Byron girls’ soccer turns away Wingers 5-1

It was another win for the Byron girls’ soccer team. On Monday, September 18, the Bears, now sitting at 8-0-1 overall, upended Red Wing, 5-1. The Byron bunch scored a pair of first-half goals and three more in the final stanza. Byron Scoring: Lyndsey Mittelstadt, 1 goal; Ashlyn Rogne, 1 goal, 1 assist; Marissa Ellavsky, 1 goal; Carly Halder, 1 goal; Paige Halder, 1 goal, 2 assists. Goalie Cadence Loughran had 4 saves.

Byron boys’ soccer goes 2-1 on the week

Byron boys started the week out with two dominating games against Cannon Falls and Waseca, but they ran into a road block against Lourdes. First up was Monday night, September 11, versus Waseca, who was visiting Bear Stadium for the first time in a few years. In a commanding performance, Byron got on the board two minutes in, on a goal by Talon Henderson, the first of his ultimate hat trick on the night.

Unbeaten, untied, Byron soccer girls – unstoppable

Sitting atop the Hiawatha Valley Conference and holding an overall 6-0-0 flawless record, the Byron girls are enjoying the view from the catbird seat. Tallying (6) first-half goals on Thursday, September 7, the Lady Bears blanked the Cannon Falls Bombers, 8-0, keeping their perfect season intact.

Byron runners at Luther; Hayfield, Triton at Hayfield Invitational

The Byron cross country teams competed at the All-American Cross Country Invitational, on Saturday, September 9, at Luther College.

K-M boys soccer earns shutout against Winona

WINONA — The Kasson-Mantorville boys soccer team defeated the Winona Winhawks on Saturday evening, September 9, by a final tally of 2-0. Sawyer Bendickson had an assist, by kicking a corner that led to a scoring header by Miguel Martinez.

Outlaw Mini Mods join the action at Chateau Speedway

A beautiful night greeted fans and drivers for racing action Friday Night at Chateau Speedway in Lansing. With Sunshine and Temperatures in the 70’s everyone settled in for another night of action with an appearance by the Outlaw Mini Mods.
