Sitting atop the Hiawatha Valley Conference and holding an overall 6-0-0 flawless record, the Byron girls are enjoying the view from the catbird seat. Tallying (6) first-half goals on Thursday, September 7, the Lady Bears blanked the Cannon Falls Bombers, 8-0, keeping their perfect season intact.

K-M soccer girls win 1, lose 1
The Kasson-Mantorville girls soccer team earned a split week. On Tuesday, September 5, the girls fell to a tough Hill Murray squad, 0-5. Kylie Meyer finished the contest with 12 saves.
Thursday, the Lady KoMets took on Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mazeppa, and the K-M girls topped the Wildcats, 4-1.

TKWH soccer girls have busy week
On Tuesday, September 5, the Cobras played at Lake City and lost, 13-3. Romina Medina scored 2 goals and Gigi Lundi scored 1. Camila Medina had 2 assists and Jessica Willette had 1 assist. Miley Dostal had 11 saves and Alyssa Knudson had 6. Thursday saw TKWH play host to Mankato Loyola. The game ended in a 2-2 tie. Romina Medina and Ivette Mendoza each scored a goal. It was the first career Varsity goal for Ivette. Miley Dostal had 3 saves. The girls wound-up the busy week on Saturday, September 9, for a matinee with Watertown-Mayer.
“We lost the Varsity game, 11-0. Miley Dostal and Alyssa Knudson each has 6 saves in goal. We also lost the JV game, 4-1. Haylie Budahn scored our goal on a penalty kick,” said Coach Jeremy Himli.
