HERMANTOWN — The Kasson-Mantorville boys basketball team got their new season underway with a weekend tournament. On Friday, December 1, the boys played in the Hermantown High School Tip-Off Tournament. The KoMets lost to Duluth Denfeld, 75-62, but they bounced back to defeat the host team, 71-65.

Razorbacksat St. Charles Duals
ST. CHARLES — The Westfield Razorbacks opened the season on Saturday, December 2, at the St. Charles Ice Breaker Duals Invitational.

DC girls shut down Sabers
KASSON — Zoe Heimer and Mollie Koch scored twice each, and Ida Huber stopped all eight shots she faced, lifting Dodge County to a 4-0 shutout against visiting Shakopee on Saturday, November 25, at Dodge County Ice Arena. Nora Carstensen, Alyse Williamschen and McKenna LaFleur had two assists each in the win.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS — The Dodge County boys were back on the ice, as they participated in the Simley High School Turkey Trot Tournament, on Friday and Saturday, November 24, 25. Friday’s action saw the Wildcats defeat Red Wing, 11-1. On Saturday, Dodge County took down host Simley, 6-3. The Spartans scored the game’s first two goals, but DC responded by scoring six of the final seven, in the 6-3 victory of the championship game.
 

It’s tournament time in Minnesota. The Volleyball Tournament concluded last week and the Football Tournament moves to the semifinals this week at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Obviously, the excitement was intense at both schools in the days leading up to the tournaments. State tournament trips in fall sports have been few and far between for both schools.

MINNEAPOLIS — It was a great day for a good skate, and that’s just what the Dodge County Lady Wildcats did on Saturday, November 11. They skated their way to a convincing 8-0 victory over Minneapolis at Parade Ice Garden.
