Byron Legion loses in second round

On Monday, July 18, the Byron Legion Post 119 baseball boys lost a 5-4 nail-biter to the Rochester Post 92 A’s, in the second round of the First District American Legion playoffs.

Kasson American Legion team opens season

Kasson Legion Post 333’s team got its season underway on Thursday, June 9, and were defeated by Austin, 9-0.
“We struggled a bit offensively all night. Robertson was hitting his spots with the fast ball and kept us off balance with his change-up. Hallstrom, Nelson, and Resch gave us a chance, by throwing strikes, but defensive miscues really hurt us,” said Coach Logan Cimmiyotti.

Triton’s Petersohn hurdles to double state ti-tles

Star “trackster” Owen Petersohn ended the Cobras’ State title drought at the MSHSL State Track and Field Championships in St. Michael/Albertville High School on Thursday, Friday, June 9, 10. He achieved double-champion status in the Class A state track-and-field meet, winning both the 110m and the 300m hurdle events.

6 capture first wins of season at Chateau

Weather was perfect for the fourth night of action at Chateau Speedway Friday as fans and drivers filed in for a night of exciting dirt track action. When the night was over fans saw six drivers pick up their first Chateau Feature wins of the year.
