Fern Violet Calhoun, 76, of Hayfield, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, in Rochester. Fern was born February 20, 1945, in Rochester, to Elmer and Ruth (Remer) Folsom. On September 29, 1962, she married Charles Elmer Calhoun Sr. She was an amazing cook, loved Christmas time and traveling. She also enjoyed crocheting in her free time. She was always the one family could call to vent and look for guidance. She will be greatly missed.

Carl Edward Ziemann, age 81, of Mantorville, passed away peacefully at his home in Mantorville on September 5, 2021 after a 19 month courageous battle with cancer. Carl was born on October 30, 1939, to Harry and Gladys (Weber) Ziemann in Correctionville, Iowa. 

Sandra Kay Rasmussen, 79, of Dodge Center, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Saint Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
Sandra — or Sandy as she was known by friends and family, was born to Palmer and Mildred Hanson, February 7, 1942, in Hayfield. She graduated from Hayfield High School. 

James (Jim) Eldon Dykes, age 79, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd, surrounded by his family on Friday, August 20, 2021.
Jim was born in Waterloo, Iowa on November 4, 1941 to Eldon Leo Dykes and Eileen Veronica (Meek) Dykes. He was the first-born of five children. Jim attended St. Boniface Catholic School in Ionia, Iowa, graduating in the Class of 1959.

Jean Barber, age 61, passed away peacefully at her home in Dodge Center, on August 25, 2021, from her three year battle with cancer. Jean was born in Mora, Minn. to Virgil and Lois (Walker) Narveson on November 30, 1959. She was raised on a dairy farm and was very involve in 4-H where she showed cattle. She graduated from Mora High School in 1978. She then moved to Minneapolis for dental school where she lived for four years.

Cletis Eugene Myster, age 99, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Madonna Towers in Rochester.
Cletis Eugene Myster was born on April 29, 1922 in Hayfield, to Wallace and Serene (Evjen) Myster. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force in the Pacific Theater and was recalled to the Korean War.
