Triton trio stands out at St. Clair Quad

The Triton wrestling team headed out to take place in the St. Clair Quad last Thursday night and while the team only picked up one victory, a 47-30 victory over St. Clair/Mankato Loyola, there were several individual performances that were encouraging as the team heads into its first HVL triangular this week.

When following the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team from afar, one thing that will immediately stick out in an observer’s mind is how driven members on the team are to their craft. As K-M wrestling coach Jamie Heidt usually discusses how the focus is built on getting better every day, they also have a habit of setting a goal and aggressively grabbing it by the horns. 

Mark Finstuen recognized for conservation efforts

Mark Finstuen of Milton Township was the recipient of this year’s Dodge District’s “Outstanding Conservationist Award” by the Minnesota Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD). He was presented with the award Dec. 6 at the Doubletree Hotel in St. Cloud.
The Finstuen family, along with their son, Derek, operate an 1,800 acre cash grain crop farm, while also operating a 2,400 sow farrowing operation.

Claremont requests tax forfeited land

The City of Claremont is one step closer to acquiring land in the center of downtown that will be eventually used for a Veterans Memorial.

Corrugated Cardboard - Always remember to remove any styrofoam, packing peanuts, air pillows (these are garbage) from cardboard boxes before flattening them to be recycled.
