The ELLINGTON TOWNSHIP ANNUAL MEETING AND OFFICER ELECTIONS will be held on Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 at the Ellington Town Hall, Dodge County, Minnesota.
Polls will open at 4:00 pm and close at 8:00 pm for the purpose of electing one (1) Supervisor for a three (3) year term, and one (1) Treasurer for a two (2) year term.

Notice is hereby given to the voters of Canisteo Township, County Dodge, State of Minnesota; That the annual election of township officers and the Annual Township Meeting will be held on, Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the township hall.
In the event of inclement weather, the meeting and the election will be postponed until the third Tuesday of March-March 15, 2016- same hours.

Ronald C. Norton, 67, of Kasson, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, St. Marys Campus.  
Ron was born on April 13, 1949 in Minneapolis, to Raymond and Ileen (Clark) Norton. He spent his childhood in Minneapolis and was a graduate of Edison High School there.

Next stop, state: Owatonna has four Section 1-AAA champions, qualify seven for state tournament

Rochester -- It was just seven days ago, that the Owatonna wrestling program qualified for the Class AAA state dual tournament at the Rochester Civic Center.
Despite a severe snowstorm pushing the Section 1-AAA individual tournament to just Saturday, the goal was simple… place second or better and you’re in.
While there was some heartbreak for a few, it was a rather exciting afternoon for Owatonna.

Triton youth coach killed in accident

A Triton youth wrestling coach has died in a forklift accident near Lakeville. 
Clayton Kodada, 35, of West Concord was killed Feb. 15 while operating a forklift. The hydraulic lift failed and the forklift reportedly landed on top of him. The accident happened about 11 a.m.

An elderly couple is crediting God and their deceased son for saving them from a scary and near life ending ordeal for at least one of them in a local cemetery in December.

KoMets ready to defend their title

During the course of the year, the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team has vowed to take everything one match and one dual at a time. Such a concept can be hard to do when defending a state championship, but simply defending the title was only part of the plan for the KoMets. They wanted to top what they done a year ago and dominate anybody in their path.
