Hockey was all Dana Rasmussen ever wanted to do.
            Now, after spending approximately the past 15 years playing hockey, her prolific career came to an end when she completed her senior season this winter.

The Triton softball team was supposed to be preparing for an away game against Pine Island on Friday, April 17, but due to COVID-19 not only will the game not happen, they can’t even get together as a team.
            A suspended season hurts all of the student-athletes, especially the seniors who may not get another chance to play for Triton.

Noah Ryan, a 2017 graduate of Kasson-Mantorville High School, was named to the 2020 NWCA Division II Scholar All-America team. 
A member of the #1 nationally ranked St. Cloud State University (SCSU) wrestling team, Ryan recently completed his sophomore season with the Huskies.
A total of 267 student-athletes from 49 universities nation-wide were honored in 2019-20. 

The Mantorville Art Guild’s project to offer free art supplies and sidewalk chalk to residents has proved to be successful with the group replenishing the supplies daily. Members also reminded the community that they intend to offer the summer art camps this summer although the exact dates are not known.

Life has changed for residents of Dodge County’s Fairview Care Center in recent weeks as the Dodge Center facility has had to adapt to new regulations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Family members and friends are no longer permitted to visit and congregate dining and group activities are also curtailed as residents largely remain in their rooms.

An Easter fire has destroyed a home in Dodge Center.
Firefighters battled a blaze Sunday night at the Valley View Trailer Court in Dodge Center. The mobile home belonging to Jackie and Debra Odell was destroyed, Sheriff Scott Rose said. 

Remember 9/11? After the attacks, the biggest seller in the stores was anything that had a U.S. Flag on it. Everywhere you turned you’d see the flag; on clothing, flying in every yard, even flags flying from vehicles. Everyone supported law enforcement, firefighters and our first responders.

Marilynn Grace Fiebiger, age 89 of Blooming Prairie, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at her residence surrounded by family. 
On Sept. 9, 1930, Marilynn was born to Joseph and Irene (Lola) Lynard in Blooming Prairie. She attended Blooming Prairie High School, graduating in 1948. Marilynn received her Teacher’s Certificate from Austin College.
