As the years go by and we grow old in years, change pervades every part of our lives. Minnesota Farm Bureau’s Sesquicentennial Farm program will honor Minnesota families who have owned their farms for at least 150 years. The Sesquicentennial Recognition Program began in 2008. The program recognizes family farms according to the following qualifications:
 

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has published the Groundwater Atlas of Dodge County. It covers groundwater flow, groundwater chemistry and the pollution sensitivity of aquifers, expanding on the geologic atlas previously produced by the Minnesota Geological Survey.

Wartburg College has recognized 554 students who were named to the 2024 Fall Term Dean’s List.
Those honored include: Rachel Fode, of Byron and Aydan Tye, of Byron.
The list honors students who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above in at least four course credits during the term. Three of the four course credits have to be graded with a traditional letter grade.

For the fourth time, in as many school years, Kasson-Mantorville will have a new superintendent, after Superintendent Ted Ihns announced his resignation from the school district effective the end of school year.
The announcement came during the district’s organizational meeting on Monday night.
