Greetings and Peace:
As a relatively new pastor/priest in the area, I am so thankful for the sense of “community” that exists in Kasson/Dodge County. It is so inspiring and such a blessing.

DEAR MAYO CLINIC: My mom is in her 80s, and I've noticed that her memory seems to be slipping. Sometimes she forgets a person's name or can't recall what she did the day before. Is it normal to have these types of lapses at her age or should I be worried they are signs of something more serious?

A while back I read an article about some online tools that can help people search for lost or forgotten money left behind by their deceased relatives, but I’ve misplaced it. Can you help me with this? My mom, who passed away in January, was always bad about keeping up with her money, so I’m wondering if there was anything she left behind.

Dear Searching,

Motorists west of Rochester will no longer be able to cross Hwy 14 at Olmsted Co. Rd. 44 and 7th St. NW by mid-August, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT maintenance crews will begin removing the medians in late July. This change comes as part of a larger effort to improve safety on Hwy 14 west of Rochester.
