K-M girls powerlifting captures state championship

While the sport of powerlifting is beginning to grow nationally, it’s still a sport that’s in its infancy when it comes to high school competition in Minnesota. The Kasson-Mantorville powerlifting team knows this all too well as they’ve traveled to Wisconsin for a majority of its schedule for each of the past two seasons.

KoMets stand as HVL’s last unbeaten

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team has made dominating the HVL a habit that’s going to be hard to break. Over the past 43 conference games, the KoMets have watched their opponents come and go only to have them come away empty handed as they continue to defend back-to-back conference championships.

KoMets take home Swalla Duals title

The challenges keep coming for the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team as it looks to defend its state championship from a year ago. Although it was to be expected that the KoMets would have a target on their back, the dominant fashion in which they have knocked down everything that has stood in their way may not have been foreseen.

KoMettes win HVL Jazz Championship

The Kasson-Mantorville Varsity Dance Team took home the HVL Jazz championship during the conference’s dance championships on January 27. 
The title marks the fourth stratight season that KoMettes have taken first in the event and also finished as a runner-up in the Kick competition later in the evening.

KoMets ready for K-W, Swalla Duals

When it comes to wrestling powerhouses in Southeast Minnesota, the first two schools that come up in conversation are Kasson-Mantorville and Kenyon-Wanamingo. Over the past couple of years, the two schools have had epic battles that have determined the HVL championship and given both squads a test heading into the final stretch run of the season.

KoMets continue to pile up victories

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team is beginning to play some of its best basketball of the season as the KoMets picked up victories against Waseca and Cannon Falls last week. With the wins, the KoMets have improved their record to 12-4 on the season including 11 wins in their last 12 games.

KoMets earn wins, milestones at Green Devil Duals

Throughout the first half of the season, the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team has been focused on continuing its dominance from last year. As the defending Minnesota Class AA State Champions, the KoMets have made a name for themselves within the state, but their performance is also beginning to put themselves on the map nationally.
