Patricia Kay Olevson, 70, Kasson

Patricia Kay Olevson, 70, of Kasson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020 after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Pat was born on May 14, 1950 in Skyberg, to Kenneth and June (Keller) Vangness. She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1968. She married her high school sweetheart, Gary Olevson on Oct. 4, 1969 in Kasson. 

Patricia “Pat” Molde, 79, Byron

Patricia Molde, 79, of rural Byron, passed away on Tuesday , Oct. 27, 2020, from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in Rochester, where she had resided for the past two years.
Patricia Correen Strain was born on March 10, 1941 to Allen and Leona (O’Brien) Strain, at home, in Kalmer Township, Olmsted County. She was the 11th child born into a family of 13 children.  

Alvin Elmer Gross, 83, Kasson

Alvin Elmer Gross, 83, of Kasson, formerly of Dodge Center, died on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Prairie Meadows Senior Living in Kasson.
Alvin was born on June 19, 1937, the son of John and Alice (Harmon) Gross in Algona, Iowa. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1955. He was united in marriage on Jan. 18, 1958 to Dorothy Klossner in Kasson.

Mavis Marie Weaver, 90, Kasson

Mavis Marie Weaver, 90, of Kasson, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Methodist Campus in Rochester.
Mavis was born on June 12, 1930 to Melvin and Opal (Espey) Lien in Vernon Township in Dodge County. She married Ernest Weaver on Nov. 2, 1947.
They lived on a farm north of Rochester for a few years. They lived most of their life in the Byron and Kasson area. 

Ruth Carol (Ketchum) Ragan, 92, Albert Lea

Ruth Carol (Ketchum) Ragan, 92, of Albert Lea, passed away on October 16 at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. A Memorial Service will be held at the Assembly of God Church 1540 S. Shore Dr. at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 14 with Rev. Ryan Quigley presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

ol. Duane Arthur Kuhlmann, 97, Spanish Fort, Ala.

Duane Arthur Kuhlmann, the “Colonel” joined his beloved bride, Dorothy, in heaven September 23. He was surrounded by his family when he died peacefully at home.
Duane was born Dec. 15, 1923 in Northwood, Iowa to Jenny Messenger Kuhlmann and Sophus Kuhlmann.   Duane and his three younger brothers Hugh, Kenneth and Lyle were raised in Byron, where Sophus and Jenny owned and operated the local grain elevator business.

Helen J. McIntire, 94, Mesa, Ariz.

Helen was born on Sept. 28, 1926 in Rochester to Fred and Alma Schoenfelder. She was raised in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School in 1944.
On Oct. 22, 1944 she was married to Ward H. McIntire. They resided in Rochester with their three daughters, Barbara, Susan and Terry. She worked for the Mayo Clinic for 24 years before retiring.
