Even Nels Thorpe, 34, Kasson

Evan Nels Thorpe of Rochester and Kasson, passed away on Sept. 18, at Saint Marys Hospital of the Mayo Clinic. Born a twin on Dec. 13, 1985, Evan was a “gentle giant” - gregarious, intelligent and fun-loving - a person much loved by his family and friends.  Known for his big bear hugs, bushy beard and chortling laugh, he loved a good party or joke amongst friends and family.

Robert Beaver, 91, Kasson

Robert Beaver, 91 of Kasson, formerly Hayfield, passed away from ALS on Wednesday, Sept.16, 2020 at his home.
 Robert was born on Aug. 19, 1929 in Rochester, to Alfred and Hilda (Haukom) Beaver. He attended District 142 grade school and Hayfield High School. He married Joy Peters in Pepin, WI on Nov. 27, 1953. 

Allen Lenard Colburn, 85, Mantorville

Allen Lenard Colburn passed away the morning of Sept. 5, 2020, at age 85, after living with cancer for several years.Al was born April 9, 1935 on a farm in Concord Township to Norman and Berdella Colburn. He was born weighing little more than four pounds, and with scarlet fever, yet grew up one of seven healthychildren.

Edward Voll, 98, Byron

Edward (Ed) Voll was born Dec. 14, 1921 on the Voll farm in Byron and lived there for 97 years. He passed away Sept. 7, 2020 at the age of 98.
Ed graduated from Byron High School in 1940. The BHS class of 1940 had 15 people and he was the last surviving member of his class. 

Jared ‘J-Rod’ Robert More, 34, Mantorville

Jared “J-Rod” Robert More, 34, Mantorville, passed away from brain cancer on Sept. 10, 2020.
He was born July 23, 1986 in Rochester to Robert and Jan (Huse) More. Jared loved the dirt and was an “earth mover.” He enjoyed hockey, archery, hunting, music, racing dirt bikes, ax throwing and R/C vehicles.

Patrick Dugall Chase, 73, Mantorville

Patrick Dugall Chase, 73, of Mantorville, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Pat was born on April 1, 1947 to Charles and Marie (Doleshall) Chase in Winslow, AZ.  On April 1, 2006 he married Dianne Welke and she survives him. 

Lillian A. Aarsvold, 93, Zumbrota

A memorial service for Lillian A. Aarsvold, who passed away March 20 of this year, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. The gathering will be at Dennis Aarsvold’s home in rural Kasson, 68487 260th Avenue.
Sharing memories honoring “Lil” will begin at 9:30 a.m., a service at 11 a.m. and lunchatnoon.
