Gary F. Lee, 85, a longtime Stewartville, area farmer, died on Sunday, February 27, 2022, of natural cause at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield, where he had been a resident for the past four days.

Deanna Simons was born Deanna Mae Lamp on December 23, 1937. She was the oldest of four children born to Frank Edwin Lamp and Mary Osmek Lamp. She was born in a farmhouse near Brownton, Minnesota. Deanna attended kindergarten in Hutchinson, then attended grades 1 through 8 in country school. She attended grades 9 through 12 in Hutchinson and graduated in 1955. Also, in 1955 she was chosen to be the McLeod County Dairy Princess.

Beverly Long Stone died at her home in Fairbanks, Alaska on February 20, 2022. She graced the world with her presence for 92 years and will be remembered for her soft voice and her sharp mind and wit. Beverly was born at home in Grant County, Wisconsin, to Hiram and Dorothy Long, on July 13, 1929. She completed the family, joining three older brothers. She graduated as valedictorian of Bloomington (Wisconsin) High School in 1946.

Susan “Sue” Marie Virnig, 60, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Audrey Jean Wigham (Reynolds) was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2022, at the age of 76. She was born on June 27, 1945, to Albert and Mary Reynolds in Blooming Prairie.

JoAnn Louise Thoe, 90, passed away on February 9, 2022, at Cascade Creek Memory Care in Rochester.
