Jean Johnson, 80, Kasson

Jean Marie Johnson, 80, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at her home in Kasson.
Jean was born Feb. 19, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Nelson) Larson in Rochester.  She graduated from Kasson High School in 1954.

Sandy Grossbach, 67, Mazeppa

Sandy M. Grossbach, 67, a longtime resident of Mazeppa, passed away at her home after a short battle with cancer, with her family by her side.
Sandy was born May 24, 1949, in North Dakota.  Her hometowns were Pisek and Grafton.  Sandy graduated from the Grafton High School in 1967.  She then attended Cosmetology school in Fargo, North Dakota.  

Marvin Nord, 69, Hayfield

Marvin Nord 69, passed away on Oct. 29, 2016, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
He was born March 5, 1947,  in Kasson, to Harold Nord and Mavis (Hegna) Seim. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1966 and enlisted in the US Army from 1968-1970. Marvin was united in marriage to Sandra Rae Gustafson on Dec. 12, 1970, in Osage, Iowa and was married for 45 blessed years. They resided in Kasson until 2005.

Mary Jo Leona Nelson Post Cole, 71, Mantorville

Mary Jo Leona Nelson Post Cole, 71, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Oct. 31, 2016, at her home in Fairmont, following a short battle with cancer. She formerly lived in Mantorville. 
There will be a service held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the First Congregational Church in Mantorville. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the time of service at the church. 

John Lee O’Malley, 60, Mantorville

John Lee O’Malley drove off into the sunset with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2016. He won his battle with cancer, and he is now free.  John left this world at the mere age of 60 years old. Born Aug. 25, 1956, in Mantorville, to Henry and Matilda O’Malley, John was the youngest of six children. John enjoyed the outdoors, driving trucks and riding motorcycles. He most enjoyed family and friends.

Geneva R. Lawson, 84, Rochester

Geneva R. Lawson, 84, of Rochester, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester. She also lived in Wabasha and Spring Valley. 

Charles Francis Rath, Sr., 79, Kasson

Our loving father, Charles (Chuck) Francis Rath, 79, died in the early morning hours on Oct. 30, 2016, peacefully with his hands folded in prayerful meditation after a long illness.
