Top educator to stay at Triton

After a few months of uncertainty, the top educator at Triton Public Schools will remain as the district’s superintendent.
On Feb. 13, the Triton School Board unanimously approved a new three year contract for Brett Joyce, who has been superintendent for three years and with the district for 19 years. Under the terms of the contract, Joyce will receive $123,000 in 2017, $126,000 in 2018 and $129,000 in 2019.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FURNISHING A COMMUNITY SOLAR GARDEN SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT FOR MAPLE GROVE APARTMENTS

Introduction
Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA) is seeking proposals to enter in to a subscription agreement for solar generated electricity with a qualified Solar Garden developer.  The agreement will include the HRA’s sixteen rental projects.  Interested developers must contact Carmen Briggs, (651) 565-2638, Ext 201 to receive additional information needed to submit proposal.

CITY OF KASSON FEE SCHEDULE (REFERENCE ORDINANCE)

The 2017 Fee Schedule for the City of Kasson was passed at the February 8 and 22, 2017 meetings of the City Council.  As part of the 2017 budget process, the Kasson City Council approved utility rate changes that will increase customers’ monthly charges for electricity, water, wastewater, and storm water. The 2 percent electric and 9 percent water and 9 percent sewer utility rate increases will be effective with the March 2017 billing.

Public Notice

At 10:00 a.m., on March 14, 2017, at the Dodge County Government Services Building, the County Board of Commissioners will consider a resolution to increase the County’s Waste-to-Energy Service Charge. If adopted, the Service Charge may add about $0.50 to $1.00 per month to the garbage bill of a typical household.

Robert Underhill, 69, Rochester

Robert Duane Underhill, 69, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2017 at his residence in Rochester.  Bob dealt with many medical issues which stemmed from having polio at a young age.
