NRHEG wins 65-64 thriller for Section 2-AA title to earn program's first state tournament berth

Mankato – In any sport, coaches look to their star players to make the game-changing and often the game-deciding plays.
However, for NRHEG High School’s boys basketball coach Pat Churchill, it was what his star player didn’t do Friday night in the Section 2-AA title game that decided the game.

Schoenrock scores 20, Wagner twins combine for 30 as NRHEG earns fifth place finish

St. Paul – Similar to its first two Class AA state tournament games, the NRHEG girls basketball team was in a one possession game midway through the first quarter.
Then Betsy Schoenrock delivered the block that set the tone for the Panthers and they never looked back.

Second-half surge: NRHEG's Marnie Wagner scores 15 to rally Panthers past Esko.

St. Paul – Having arguably the hottest hand on the NRHEG girls basketball team this postseason, the first half was nothing short of frustrating for senior guard Marnie Wagner.
In 16 minutes, she connected on just one of her seven attempts for two points.
Then, just like her previous two games, she found her stroke and started to dominate.
