Hayfield falls to JWP

The Hayfield/ Schaeffer Academy fell to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in a 60-59 nail-biter last Friday night.
Hayfield/SA was off to a slow start trailing 10-1 before going on a run to take a 11 point lead into halftime.
Up as many as 14 points at one point, JWP made a comeback, to take the lead with 32 seconds left in the game.

Triton girls basketball starts season with wins

The Triton girls basketball team defeated La Crescent-Hokah, and Lewiston Altura last week.
In the 77-40 win over La Crescent-Hokah, Norah Freiderich had five points and an assist, Rainey Dobbs had 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists, Reagan Essig had 24 points, three rebounds, and six assists, and Addi Oakland had 14 points, three rebounds, and four assists in the win.

Community Christmas celebrations abound on Saturday

There is no doubt the Christmas season has arrived in Dodge County as community Christmas celebrations are planned for Saturday, Dec. 7, in Kasson, Mantorville, Hayfield and West Concord.
Kasson activities get under way at 9:45 a.m. with the Santa Parade. The parade is sponsored by Kasson-Mantorville Community Ed and will depart from the Kasson Fire Hall and roll down Main Street and end at the Colonial Clock Shop.
