Kasson-Mantorville Class of 1960 held their 64-year class reunion recently at Hidden Pines.

Since January, the Dodge Center Ambulance has helped those communities not part of its Primary Service Area from time to time.
As it stands now, the Primary Service Area includes Claremont, Mantorville, Kasson, and Dodge Center.
Now the Ambulance will recoup some of the funding for calls it takes when the ambulance service is acting as the Primary Service provider.

The Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) is pleased to announce Sharon Mansur as its new Outreach and Accessibility Manager. In this newly created position, Mansur will work to expand SEMAC’s reach and ensure its programs and services are accessible to all communities across the region’s eleven counties.

The SEMAC Board of Directors has awarded $378,430 in arts programming grants to nonprofit organizations and schools throughout southeastern Minnesota.
Of the grants awarded, one was a School Residency grant, 34 Legacy grants, 11 Programming Grants for Arts Organizations and nine Small Towns/Rural Areas grants.

A talented and diverse group of artists has just begun spending months embedded within select Minnesota parks and communities, including Oxbow Park in Byron, to create unique art as part of the Minnesota Parks Artists-in-Residence (MNPAiR) pilot program. Four nearby parks — in Rochester, Byron and Eyota — are among those participating in this first statewide effort.

There are a lot of things in life that can cause human conflict. It could be international struggles, political differences, or national affairs. Most of those things we have no control over, and we’ve learned not to let them bother us. However, the things that may drive us over the edge are those little irritations that are a part of our everyday life. We call them pet peeves.

The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team won its first game as a co-op, beating Faribault Bethlehem Academy58-43.
Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy was down 5-0 to start the game, before going on a 15-0 run, and never trailed in the game again.

Byron Activities Director Brad Hak went in front of the School Board at its meeting on Monday night, giving a recap of the various awards won by athletes this fall.

The Triton girls basketball team was dominant against Randolph last week, winning by over 30 points.
Triton defeated Randolph 63-32.
