The odds are high that at some point in life just about everyone will become a “caregiver” for someone else.
It could be an adult child for their parent, a person for their spouse, a grandparent for a grandchild, or someone caring for a stranger or friend. Whatever the relationship, learning what kind of help is available can seem like an impossible task.

Four candidates have filed to run for the open Kasson-Mantorville School Board seat, according to Superintendent Beth Giese.
The four candidates are Sarah Stender, Jerrod Kappers, Denise Heidt, and Albert Brand.

A Hayfield man made his first appearance Monday in Dodge County District Court, where he is accused of threatening to shoot at members of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, then resisting arrest.
Matthew Charles Marshall, 37, was charged with one count each of felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor obstruction of the legal process. He was conditionally released without bail and is due back in court Aug. 20.

It was another successful fundraiser at Uncle Mony’s in Hayfield Saturday night, as Mary’s Angels raised $5,129 for Alzheimer’s research.
The total included money raised from a silent auction, bake sale, and food, said Barry Thompson of Owatonna.
