Watching last Thursday’s presidential debate is confirmation that the candidates have differing opinions on how the United States of America should function going forward.

I’m growing weary of the conflicting political polls offered up nationally, yard signs that scream for attention in the neighborhoods, political ads on television, social media and newscasters who are more opinion-caster than they are objective purveyors of news.
I’d rather focus on local folks.

Yes, we’ve had riots in New York, Portland, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Seattle. The virus has also brought out the best.

End of an era as Erdman’s closes for final time

We knew this day would come. Yesterday was the final page in the legacy of Jon Christiansen and staff as the County Market grocery store we know as Erdman’s closed at 6 p.m.
Erdman’s County Market had been an anchor in Kasson for 95 years. It was the go to place for some of the best meat products in the county, along with fruit and vegetables.
