Four years ago, Kasson-Mantorville High School Principal Trent Langemo, and a freshman class started at the school together.
Now four years later, that same class walked across the graduation stage, on Sunday.

Karissa Otterbein says she has been drawing since she was a little child. “Since I could write I’ve been
drawing,” she said.
While she hasn’t taken an art class since ninth grade she has continued to draw, has been a member of
the Triton Art Club and is capping her high school career by designing and painting the 2019 Class Mural
on a wall outside the office.

15 years ago Josh Larsen graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School.
This September, the current Stewartville Middle School principal will once again be in the district, this time as the K-M Middle School Principal.
Larsen was chosen after 33 candidates applied to be the next middle school principal. The search began after  current principal Erin Kylo accepted a middle school principal position in Colorado.

Earlier this year, one of my best friends from college and college teammate, CeCe, got a lot of attention in the news and especially on social media, after Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump tweeted very mean things about her.
Trump Jr. sent out tweets, ultimately accusing her of being a cheater, because she made the switch from being apart of the Men’s Track and Field program to the Women’s team.

When Hayfield K-12 Principal Grant Klennert, was preparing his high school graduation speech last week, he decided to get advice from an unconventional group.
Instead of talking to other administrators or staff members, he decided to stop by the two kindergarten classes and ask the students to give seniors some advice for when they graduate high school.

Finally, more than a year after the death of David Riess, his wife, Lois, has been charged in
connection with his murder.
On Wednesday, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office charged Lois Riess of Blooming Prairie
with first-degree pre-meditated murder and second-degree murder.
Riess remains locked up in a Florida jail on an unrelated murder.

Marie Lavonne Baumgartner, 96, of Kenyon, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Kenyon Sunset Home.

Frederick R. Heimberg, age 78 of Pine Island died on May 13, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Rochester – Methodist Campus. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne with Pastor Karen Larson officiating.

Betty Ann (Johnson) Reynolds, 80, of Dexter, died Monday May 13, 2019 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
