Grandma’s sewing machine finds new home at historical society

I guess you could say Dodge Center was, is and always will be an important part of my life.
I lived there from age birth to 2 years old, but those two years were not my whole history in that small, quaint town. My mother, Vivian (Cottrell) Kraemer met my father, Richard Kraemer in Dodge Center.

Triton adds parade to homecoming festivities

The Triton community celebrated Homecoming last week with a variety of activities.
The week got underway Monday night with the crowning of Jay Yankowiak and Samantha Hallaway as King and Queen. Throughout the week there were a variety of dress up days at the elementary, middle and high school levels as well as soccer and volleyball competition.

A NEW HOME

Home Federal Savings Bank has finished the remodeling of its offices on Mantorville Avenue and has consolidated all of its services into the one location, said Market President Matt Bradford.
With the entire staff operating out of one location, the Kasson Branch of Home Federal is now a one-stop-shop for all banking and financial needs.

Kasson Casey’s set to open Oct. 17

The new Casey’s store in Kasson will be opening on Thursday, Oct. 17, with grand opening celebrations scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9, said Bobbie Groess, who was recently named manager of the store being built next to the former ShopKo.

Hagedorn receives Biofuels Award

U.S. Rep. Jim Hagedorn, who serves Minnesota’s First District throughout southern Minnesota, received the 2019 Fueling Growth Award from Growth Energy, a leading proponent of biofuels.
The award was presented to key Members of Congress who support biofuels initiatives and recognize the contributions of the industry to our local economy.
