A NEW HOME
Home Federal Savings Bank has finished the remodeling of its offices on Mantorville Avenue and has consolidated all of its services into the one location, said Market President Matt Bradford.
With the entire staff operating out of one location, the Kasson Branch of Home Federal is now a one-stop-shop for all banking and financial needs.
Kasson State Bank became a Home Federal branch in August of 2015, he said, and since then has been operating out of two locations with the main banking facility on Main Street in Kasson and the Mantorville Avenue bank the drive-through facility.
“We didn’t need two locations,” Bradford said. The remodeling, he said, doubled the size of the banking space available in the building. Another reason for consolidating, he said, is that the movement of people to electronic banking means that not as many patrons physically stop by a bank.
The bank location includes nine parking spaces that are available to patrons as well as the remodeled drive-through.
The new facility officially opened on Sept. 17.
As is to be expected, he said, there have been a few “glitches and hiccups” in the move but both the clients and employees seem happy with the new facility.
There are seven full-time employees in Kasson, he said. Home Federal operates in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The bank lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The drive-through is open Monday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
Home Federal has sold the building at 203 E. Main St. to McKern Financial Group, Inc., a local accounting firm. McKern Financial will be moving into its location and leasing out the space they currently have in the mini-mall.
Home Federal, Bradford said, is planning on having a grand opening in October and probably a Business After Hours event with the Kasson Chamber.
