Hayfield High School runner Hadley Doman has another school track record to her name. Last week, she broke the school record in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:25.17. The previous record was set in 2017 by Mary Young. Doman also qualified for the prestigious Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Ore., this summer in the 1600 meter.

Years ago, there was a movie about the invisible man. You might hear him talk and see what happened when he moved something, but you could not see him.

Roberta Mae Knight, 90, Slater, Missouri, passed away February 6, 2026, while in hospice care.

Mavis Anne Berge passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center,. She was 95 years old.
Mavis Anne Ellingson was born on January 5, 1931, in Austin, MN to Carl and Ruth (Nichols) Ellingson. She was told that it was a beautiful spring like day. She grew up on the family farm east of Hayfield, MN.

Barbra Ann Alberts, 90, of Mantorville, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home.
Barb was born on June 3, 1935, in Dodge County, to Otto and Edna (King) Kraling. On October 2, 1955, she married Klaus Alberts at Faith Lutheran Church in Dodge Center, and together they had two children, Cynthia and Klaus.

Kelly Braun had no idea what she wanted to do when she graduated from high school.
She knew she wanted to play softball, which she said took her to college and was her focus.
“I majored in health and human performance, because my coach was the chair of the department, yet I had no idea what career path it would lead me down,” Braun said. “After two years of playing softball and getting credits, I decided to move home.”
