Roberta Mae Knight, 90, Slater, Missouri, passed away February 6, 2026, while in hospice care.
Roberta grew up near Glasgow, Missouri. Following high school, she married Ronald Arlie Knight, and in 1962 they settled in Dodge Center, Minnesota, where they operated a small farm north of town, raising pigs as well as registered Quarter Horses and registered Paint Horses. She was actively involved in the Dodge County 4-H program, helping establish the county’s 4-H horse project and serving as an adult leader with the Dodge County Satellites, Wasioja Winners, and Jr. Riders 4-H clubs. She was also a member of the Eden Mothers Club and the United Methodist Church in Dodge Center.
After her divorce in 1979, Roberta became manager of A&G Motor Mart in Kasson. In 1981, she returned to Missouri to care for her elderly mother, where she met her lifelong partner, Ben Frazee. Together they operated a custom crop business, with Roberta remaining active in the operation until 2018. She was a member of the Slater United Methodist Church and was known for her dedication to helping others, whether by cleaning homes, providing transportation to appointments, or offering companionship. She enjoyed collecting antique plates and bowls and, in later years, devoted her time to visiting and calling those in need of friendship and prayers.
Roberta cherished time with her family and loved hearing about the activities of her four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed Minnesota visits and taking them fishing for bass in local ponds.
Survivors include her lifelong partner, Ben Frazee, and her daughter, Rhonda Weis (Knight). She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Adams, and Elizabeth Alckleberry; her brother, Harold Lee; her sister, Glenetta; her son, Dr. Robert A. Knight; and her grandson, Ryan Knight.
A Celebration of Life will take place on May 9, 2026, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at South Zumbro Lutheran Church in Kasson.
Roberta will be honored for her understated generosity, unwavering faith, and enduring dedication to her family, community, and helping others.
