K-M Lions ‘scrap metal’ drive Sept. 28

Kasson-Mantorville’s Lions Club will have a “scrap metal” drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lions Park in Kasson on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The club will be accepting any metal items including stoves, washing machines, dryers, lawn mowers, cans, tillers, pipes, vehicle batters and similar items. Refrigerators, freezers and electronics or freon-sealed units will not be accepted.

Kasson-Mantorville/Triton/ Byron bowling begins season

The Kasson Mantorville Triton Byron (KMTB) varsity bowling team has started its season with three wins and a loss in Southern MN conference play. The team is currently tied for second with Rochester Mayo.
The one loss was to Stewartville, who is in first place with a 4-0 record.

Kaths surpass 1,000 points

Chateau Speedway hosted the Friday Night Racing last week and had five classes active for another weekend of fun at the races.
The lone class not active last weekend were the WISSOTA Midwest Mods.
There were many exciting finishes, but the highlight of the weekend was a 25-car feature in the B-Modified division.
