 The future of the Dodge Center Ambulance has been a point of discussion for several months for city officials from Claremont, Kasson, Dodge Center, and Mantorville, the communities part of the Dodge Center Ambulance Primary Service Area.

Kasson Fire Chief asks for raise as part of FY 25 budget proposal

The Kasson City Council was briefed on a number of different proposals from department heads, which included more than doubling the fire chief’s salary.
Currently, the salary is $6,000. The fire chief’s salary would be raised to $15,000 as part of the proposal.

Kasson PD made aware of threat of violence at K-M School last week

The Kasson Police Department was made aware of a threat of violence “to occur at the Kasson middle school,” at 2:14 p.m., last Thursday according to the Kasson Police Department.
“With the assistance of the Kasson-Mantorville School administration, we immediately began investigating the threat,” the press release read.
