For 50 years a group of women from Dodge Center have gotten together once a month to play the card game 500. They started playing on Wednesday evenings as their husbands would have men’s night at the golf club. They called themselves the Robe Card Club as they would wear a bathrobe when playing. They have now given up on that attire.

1. Winterize Your Vehicle and Plan Ahead

Casey Striver received the most votes in the Claremont Mayoral race, however, whether or not he is eligible to be mayor, is still in question.
Striver ran a last-minute write-in campaign to become mayor, claiming he moved to the city recently in order to meet residency requirements.

The Byron school district will have yet another interim finance director, after current interim finance director Julie Cink and the school district mutually agreed to part ways at the end of her contract.

When the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) approved NextEra Energy’s Dodge County Wind project last spring commissioners added a requirement that Dodge County Wind “attempt in good faith to meet with the owners of dairy and hog farms adjacent to the route for the purpose of explaining the energy and electrical standard effects addressed and demonstrate compliance with the consultation obligation in its pre-construction filing.”
